Being a "subscriber"

You know what sucks about being a fan of someone on the internet? Be it their art, videos, or stories?

When they disappear, that's it. They're gone, and you'll usually have no idea what happened.

You may be the largest fan of their stuff, but at the end of the day, you are usually strangers, and when they disappear into their lives and out of yours and the internet's, there is nothing you can do about it.

I'm a deviantarter and I was surfing through all those I watched and many of them have been gone for two years without a single goodbye, and I have no idea where they've gone. It's just a thought I was having.
